Scoring and Point Distribution
Runners will be awarded up to 1000 points for each race, plus 100 bonus points for each athlete who competes in all 5 races. Points for each race are calculated as follows:
(Best Time in race, in your gender) X 1000 = Number of Points
Your Finish Time
When an athlete completes one of the races they will automatically be entered in the series, and his or her points will be automatically calculated by Just Finish Inc and posted onwww.SayvilleSummerSeries.com and JustFinish.net.
Awards
Cash prizes will be awarded to the male and female Overall 1st ($175), 2nd($150) and 3rd($125); Masters: 1st ($120), 2nd($100) and 3rd($75). The Sayville Running Company will also award $50 gift certificates for each 1st place male and female winner in the following age categories: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over. Age groups will be determined by participant’s age on August 4, 2012, the date of the last race in the 2012 Series.
Winners will be announced, and awards presented at the Sayville Chamber of Commerce Summerfest Run on August 3rd, 2013.
